On November 2nd, a crew member backstage noticed when Miyoun discovered an inflamed wound on the back of her had. Miyoun said it was a male photographer whose equipment stabbed down on her hand.
Miyoun has already spent a lot of time in China, and has also studied Chinese for more than two months, and she was able to speak simply with reporters. Kan Miyoun sells her items for charity and strives for compassion.
"The Before Woman" (a.k.a "The Ex-Girlfriend"; "Old Woman") singer Kan Miyoun has been able to hit the record highs in everday sales of her new album.
On September 28th, Miyoun sold her own items in a department store, to support a compassionate charity. Other stars, such as GOD, have also participated.
On the same day that Miyoun participated in the charity by selling her own clothing and jewlery, became the same day that she reached a high selling mark. Miyoun has sold 230,000 albums to date.
The charity activity will be broadcast on KBS TV on September 30th at 7PM.

September 30th, 2006 - Miyoun's Celebration Party
Miyoun is full of tears at her debut celebration party.
On the afternoon of September 24th, in order to celebrate her sucessful debut, Miyoun held a party and Baby VOX was invited.
Although the former members of Baby VOX were not able to attend the party, Shim Eunjin, Kim Eiji, Lee Heejin and Yoon Eunhye transmitted thier blessings by video. Kim Eiji also said that "I originally worried about you, but luckily, your album has drawn a charge and I congratulate you!"
On the same day, Miyoun recieved a letter from her father. In the letter, her father writes, "In all things, my dear daughter, I love you."
Miyoun broke in to tears which continued to flow. Her mood also infected the fans and all fans instantly started to cry, too.
In order to thank the fans for thier love, Miyoun accepted a gift from them, a momento with all thier signatures.

September 29th, 2006 - Miyoun's Return as a Solo Artist
Kan Miyoun, a former member of the female dance group Baby VOX, has returned to the singing stage as a solo artist with her album “Refreshing.” The new album features various genres of music, with the ballad “My Ex-Girlfriend” composed by Bang Shi-hyeok as its title song.
“I have always liked ballad songs more than dance songs. Whenever I go to a karaoke, I sing ballad songs,” Miyoun said. She also talked about how she prepared herself, physically and mentally, for public response to her change to a ballad singer. “I try to be indifferent to people’s response, but it is a few good fans of mine that give me energy and strength to go on. I will be able to say that I have made a successful comeback if there is even one person who takes comfort from my songs, as I do so from other singers’ songs.”
Miyoun may have had the hardest time in her life attempting to go solo after the group’s agency decided to disband the original Baby VOX in 2005--some eight years after its formation in 1997--to create another Baby VOX with new members. She says she was hurt by disappointed fans and afraid of going solo. She still feels nervous when she sings or gives an interview alone.
She says she could go on due to encouragement from her close friends such as singer Sue, Yujin, Soy, Park Ji-yoon, Rena and Shim Jae-hee. They were even featured in her new album.
“We are friends who often get together for coffee or drinks. They have always encouraged me, saying that I am capable of going solo,” Miyoun said. “We promised to do a project one day while working together for my new album this time.”
Noh Hong-choel, a talkative entertainer who became close to Miyoun by appearing on a TV show program together, was also featured in the song “Kiss.”
Her album contains three remakes of Chinese hit songs because she plans to work in China, Taiwan and Thailand. Her agency is discussing the matter with Chinese record company Star Win Culture Communication Company and Thailand’s GMM Grammy, with the aim of beginning activities in China late this year.

Today, September 13th, there will be a preview of Miyoun's first music video at a cinema in Seoul. Fans are welcome to join but due to the busy schedule of Miyoun, she will not participate in this event.
Also, it has been confirmed that Miyoun will have her first performance on September 14 on M.countdown. The official release date of the album is September 14th.

September 10th, 2006 - Miyoun's Album "REFRESHING"
This news is about the release of Miyoun's first solo album 'REFRESHING'. The album was supposed to be released on Sept. 14 but due to the final process of making this album, H2 Entertainment said that the album would be delayed for 2-3 days. The first song to be promoted is called 'Woman From the Past'. The producer of this song is (I dont know the name) who composed Lim Jong Hee's song and Byuls's song, and the lyrics were written by (I dont know the english name), the one who wrote Kim Jong Kuk's song and Kim Bum Soo's song. Furthermore, there will be a song composed by Miyoun herself in this album and this will make Miyoun not only a singer, but a song writer too.

September 10th, 2006 - Miyoun's New Music Video
This news is about the making of Miyoun's first MV 'Woman From the Past'. It was shot in Kyounggi Do for two days and one night. This MV is about two women who experience a similar sad love life in two different periods of time. Miyoun will represent these two women by dressing in black in one period of time and white in the other. During the shooting, Miyoun spent only 5 secends to make her tears falling down her eyes. The production team expects that male fans will be very satisfied with this MV. This MV will be aired for the first time on Sept 14 on cable TV.
